Shirley Thomas, Ph. D., received her doctoral degree in psychology from the University of Colorado in 1971. Since then she has maintained a private practice in child and family psychology. Dr. Thomas specializes in divorce counseling, mediation, and child and family evaluation. She is the author of Parents Are Forever, a guide to successful parenting, Divorced But Still My Parents, a book for children, and Two Happy Homes, a book for coparents who re-couple after separation.
Steve Gimple, LMFT, received his masters degree in counseling from the University of California, Hayward, in 1993. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist. Along with psychotherapy, Mr. Gimpel’s private practice includes therapy, child and family investigation, parent coordination, and mediation. He has been teaching coparenting education since 2002.
Bernandette Gimpel, LMFT, received her masters degree in counseling from the University of California, Hayford, in 1995. Married to Steve Gimpel, she is also a licensed marriage and family therapist. Ms. Gimpel’s private practice includes working with individuals, children, and families dealing with conflictual issues that arise from divorce. She co-facilitates Level II coparenting classes with her husband, Steve.
